Case Study: Town of Addison, TX Annual Budget
Overview
The Town of Addison, TX is home to some of the hippest, most fashionable, forward thinking businesses in the South. It is also home to quite a few of the major corporate big boys. Being a part of their own cultural revolution, they are a constantly growing, updating and upgrading community. Everything about Addison screams sophistication and class.
Challenge
With the 2005/2006 Annual Budget coming up fast, Addison wanted to create something with a little more flare than they've done before. In fact, they wanted to create a paradigm shift in the government financial document world. They wanted an Annual Budget with pop. They wanted people to say "WOW!"
Solution
In the world of financial government documents, there historically has not been a show of creativity. Numbers, charts, and graphs. We decided to go all out and create some extremely colorful imagery, use odd shapes and sizes, decidedly shocking photography, cross our fingers and just see what they think. They loved it. In designing this Annual Budget, we created a completely new image for Addison's financial department, and broke them free of their numbers, charts, and graphs box.
